11 "Faux Pas" You're Actually Able To Do With Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that resembles toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best option. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads.  More  at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place it can be done easily. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've tried that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price cost.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. The design is more modest than other models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The main aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with the boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material like cereal.
